金球獎(jiǎng)終身成就獎(jiǎng)得主梅麗爾暗諷川普

前幾天，美國(guó)金球獎(jiǎng)?lì)C獎(jiǎng)典禮刷爆了大家的朋友圈。不過(guò)留學(xué)黨們可不要光顧著看明星們的紅毯造型哦！這里有很多精彩的演講等著大家去學(xué)習(xí)。其中最精彩的演講就是本屆金球獎(jiǎng)終身成就獎(jiǎng)得主梅麗爾?斯特里普（就是扮演《穿普拉達(dá)的惡魔》里女魔頭的那個(gè)阿姨）的演講，她全程高能暗諷川普，引得掌聲不斷，快來(lái)學(xué)習(xí)一下吧！

Thank you Hollywood Foreign Press. Just to pick up on what Hugh Laurie said, you and all of us in this room, really, belong to the most vilified segment in American society right now. Think about it: Hollywood, foreigners, and the press. But, who are we? And what is Hollywood, anyway? Just a bunch of people from other places.

謝謝你們，好萊塢外國(guó)記者協(xié)會(huì)。接著休?勞瑞的話說(shuō)，你和我們都在這間屋子里，真的，正同屬于美國(guó)社會(huì)最易為人所詬病的一角。想想看：好萊塢、外國(guó)人、記者。但是，我們是誰(shuí)？以及，好萊塢是什么？不過(guò)是一幫外來(lái)人罷了。

I was born and raised and educated in the public schools of New Jersey. Viola [Davis] was born in a sharecroppers' cabin in South Carolina, came up in Central Falls, Rhode Island. Sarah Paulson was born in Florida, raised by a single mom in Brooklyn. Sarah Jessica Parker was one of seven or eight kids from Ohio. Amy Adams was born in Vicenza, Italy. And Natalie Portman was born in Jerusalem. Where are their birth certificates? And the beautiful Ruth Negga was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, raised in Ireland, I do believe. And she's here nominated for playing a small-town girl from Virginia.

Ryan Gosling, like all the nicest people, is Canadian. And Dev Patel was born in Kenya, raised in London, and is here playing an Indian raised in Tasmania. So Hollywood is crawling with outsiders and foreigners. And if we kick them all out, we'll have nothing to watch but football and mixed martial arts, which are not the arts.

瑞恩?高斯林，像所有友善的人一樣，是加拿大人。而戴夫?帕特爾則生于肯尼亞、長(zhǎng)于倫敦，在塔斯馬尼亞出演一位印度人。所以好萊塢滿是外來(lái)人和外國(guó)人。如果我們把他們?nèi)s出去，那除了橄欖球和綜合格斗以外，我們?cè)贌o(wú)其他東西可看，而這些東西連藝術(shù)都不是。

An actor's only job is to enter the lives of people who are different from us and let you feel what that feels like. And there are many, many, many powerful performances this year that did exactly that. Breathtaking, compassionate work.

演員的唯一工作就是進(jìn)入到那些異于自己的人的生活中，讓你知道那些不同的生活是什么樣的。而今年，許許多多震撼人心的表演也確實(shí)做到了。多么偉大卻又充滿悲憫的工作啊。

But there was one performance this year that stunned me. It sank its hook in my heart not because it was good. There was nothing good about it. But it was effective and it did its job. It made its intended audience laugh and show their teeth. It was that moment when the person asking to sit in the most respected seat in our country imitated a disabled reporter.

但今年，有一場(chǎng)表演領(lǐng)我震驚。它深深地勾住了我的心。不是因?yàn)楸硌萦卸喑錾Ｋ鼪](méi)什么值得稱道的。但它很有效，而且做了它想做的事。它使自己的目標(biāo)觀眾露齒大笑了。那就是一個(gè)坐在我們國(guó)家最受尊敬之位的人，模仿嘲笑一位殘疾記者的時(shí)候。

Someone he outranked in privilege, power and the capacity to fight back. It kind of broke my heart when I saw that. I still can't get it out of my head because it wasn't in a movie. It was real life. And this instinct to humiliate when it's modeled by someone in the public platform, by someone powerful, filters down into everyone's life because it kind of gives permission for other people to do the same thing. Disrespect invites disrespect. Violence incites violence. And when the powerful use their position to bully others, we all lose.

那個(gè)人，他居于特權(quán)、權(quán)力以及能被人反擊之上的高位。我看到那個(gè)場(chǎng)景時(shí)有些心痛。它在我腦海中揮之不去，因?yàn)槟遣皇请娪啊Ｄ鞘钦鎸?shí)發(fā)生的事。當(dāng)這些行為被某個(gè)有影響力的人搬上公共舞臺(tái)時(shí)，那種羞辱的本能就滲入每個(gè)人的生活中，因?yàn)檫@像是允許別人做同樣的事。不敬帶來(lái)不敬。暴力催生暴力。當(dāng)有權(quán)勢(shì)的人利用職位之便來(lái)欺凌他人時(shí)，我們?nèi)驾數(shù)靡粩⊥康亍?/p>

This brings me to the press. We need the principled press to hold power to account to call them on the carpet for every outrage. That's why our founders enshrined the press and its freedoms in our Constitution. So, I only ask the famously well-healed Hollywood Foreign Press and all of us in our community to join me in supporting the committee to protect journalists. Because we're going to need them going forward and they're going to need us to safeguard the truth. 

這又讓我說(shuō)到媒體。我們需要有原則的記者來(lái)掌握話語(yǔ)權(quán)。這正是我們的國(guó)父?jìng)儗⒂浾吆托侣勛杂蓪懭霊椃ǖ脑?。所以，我?jǐn)邀請(qǐng)聞名遐邇的好萊塢外國(guó)記者協(xié)會(huì)，以及這個(gè)圈子里的所有人和我一起，來(lái)支持這個(gè)協(xié)會(huì)，也就是支持記者們。因?yàn)槲覀冃枰麄冮_(kāi)辟前路，而他們需要我們來(lái)維護(hù)真相。

One more thing: Once when I was standing around on the set one day, whining about something — you know, we were going to work through supper or the long hours or something — Tommy Lee Jones said to me, "Isn't it such a privilege, Meryl, just to be an actor?" Yeah, it is. And we have to remind each other of the privilege and the responsibility of the act of empathy. We should all be very proud of the work Hollywood honors here today. As my friend, the dear departed Princess Leia said to me once, "Take your broken heart, make it into art." Thank you.
