Many young people today know more about international pop and movie stars than famous people in the history in their country. Why is this? What can be done to increase young people’s interest in famous people in the history of their country?

題目分析：本次考試題目為社會(huì)類(lèi)話(huà)題，對(duì)于當(dāng)代年輕人關(guān)注國(guó)際流行音樂(lè)和電影明顯而忽視本國(guó)歷史文化名人這一普遍社會(huì)現(xiàn)象進(jìn)行探究，分析這一現(xiàn)象的原因，并尋求年輕人關(guān)注國(guó)內(nèi)歷史文化名人的方法。

本次呈現(xiàn)的范文開(kāi)頭段介紹寫(xiě)作背景，主體段分為兩段，首先探究原因，而后尋求解決方案，最后一段總結(jié)全文。

Over the past fifty years, with the advent of first television and subsequently new media, there has been an explosion of interest in the lives of celebrities. Icon worship and celebrity adulation are common features of today's young, and many regard this as a negative development, as the young people in question have less interest in important historical figures. This eaaay firstly will explore the reasons of this phenomena and then will provide some suggestions to draw young people's attention to the historical figures in their country.

過(guò)去五十年間，隨著第一臺(tái)電視機(jī)以及之后新媒體的出現(xiàn)，人們非常關(guān)注名人的生活。偶像崇拜和名人崇拜是當(dāng)今年輕人的共同特征，許多人認(rèn)為這是一種消極發(fā)展，因?yàn)檫@些年輕人不關(guān)注重要?dú)v史人物。本文首先探究這一現(xiàn)象的原因，然后提出吸引年輕人關(guān)注本國(guó)歷史人物的一些建議。

As already noted, the arrival of mass media, particularly television and cinema, have contributed to the craze of celebrity worship. The lives of celebrities are of interest to many young people for a variety of reasons. Clebrities often represent an idealised form of human existence, with their exuberant wealth and lavish lifestyles acting as an example many people wish to aspire to. This creates a sense among young people that the celebrities in question live lives that are perhaps unrealistic for other people to live up to, but they seek to emulate nonetheless.

如前所述，大眾傳媒的出現(xiàn)，尤其是電視和電影，助長(zhǎng)了名人崇拜的狂熱。出于種種原因，年輕人對(duì)名人的生活很感興趣。名人往往代表著一種理想化的人類(lèi)存在形式，他們充裕的財(cái)富和奢華的生活方式是許多人渴望的榜樣。這使年輕人產(chǎn)生一種感覺(jué)，即雖然這些名人過(guò)著別人可能難以企及的生活，但他們還是極力想要效仿。

As for the measures to shift the interests of the young, campaigns should be launched to enforce the awareness of these historical figure to help young people establish proper values of the world. In that sense, the historical figures of old who perhaps embody traits such as patriotism, virtue and integrity are of less interest to young people than the idea of immediate gratification and wealth embodied by celebrities. It is not so much that historical figures are of no interest, it is more that they do not represent an ideal that appears relevant to the lives of the young. If it is deemed important to ensure young people are interested in historical figures then the only way to achieve this is to go about seeking a wholesale cultural change.

對(duì)于轉(zhuǎn)移年輕人關(guān)注的措施，應(yīng)該采取宣傳活動(dòng)強(qiáng)化歷史人文的重要性，幫助年輕人樹(shù)立正確的世界觀。在這種背景下，那些熱愛(ài)祖國(guó)，品德高尚，為人正直的過(guò)往歷史名人對(duì)年輕人的吸引力就不如名人所體現(xiàn)的即時(shí)滿(mǎn)足和財(cái)富的觀念。與其說(shuō)對(duì)歷史人物毫無(wú)興趣，不如說(shuō)他們所代表的年輕人的理想生活相去甚遠(yuǎn)。如果要讓年輕人對(duì)歷史人物感興趣確實(shí)很重要，那么就只有尋求進(jìn)行全面的文化變革才能夠?qū)崿F(xiàn)。

Thus, that would mean ending the cult of money and celebrity worship, and focusing on building a society that cultivates individuals who aspire to more nobler ambitions than simply getting rich and achieving personal success. The promotion of positive examples and valued behaviour of historical figures may help young people set an realistic goal in life rather than limiting their focus on the luxurious lives of international celebrities.

因此，這意味著終結(jié)金錢(qián)和名人崇拜的狂熱，專(zhuān)注于建設(shè)一個(gè)社會(huì)，培養(yǎng)人們追求更崇高抱負(fù)，而非只是致富和取得個(gè)人成功。對(duì)歷史人物事跡和光輝例子的宣傳幫助年輕人樹(shù)立現(xiàn)實(shí)的人生目標(biāo)而非將目光局限于關(guān)注國(guó)際名人奢華的生活。
