A-Level(General Certificate of Education Advanced Level)，英國高中課程，是英國全民課程體系，是英國普通中等教育證書考試高級(jí)水平課程，也是英國學(xué)生的大學(xué)入學(xué)考試課程，迄今已近70年歷史，是歷史最悠久的國際課程。

不少家長和學(xué)生認(rèn)為，A-Level課程更傾向于申請(qǐng)英聯(lián)邦國家的大學(xué)，這實(shí)際上是一個(gè)誤區(qū)。

在英美加澳等熱門留學(xué)國家中，只有英國有自己完善的、嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)?shù)臉?biāo)準(zhǔn)化中學(xué)課程和考評(píng)體系，系統(tǒng)性的優(yōu)勢讓A-level的考試成績受到全球絕大多數(shù)國家的認(rèn)可，并成為錄取的重要標(biāo)準(zhǔn)之一。全世界有160多個(gè)國家約11,000所大學(xué)認(rèn)可A-Level課程體系。

A-Level與IB比：

A-Level沒有必修課，而IB有必修的課程群，課程群文理兼顧，不適合偏科的孩子。

A-level與AP比：

A-Level既是高中課程又是大學(xué)預(yù)科課程，且可以轉(zhuǎn)換美國、加拿大、香港等大學(xué)的學(xué)分。

而AP是美國大學(xué)先修課程，不是高中學(xué)歷課程，學(xué)AP需要額外進(jìn)行高中學(xué)習(xí)。A-Level是完整的課程體系，而AP實(shí)際上只是一個(gè)考試，從這個(gè)角度來講，AP甚至沒有可比性。

2018年英國私立學(xué)校A-Level成績排名要點(diǎn)：

? 參考了325所ISC學(xué)校的75,470名考生；

? 覆蓋了A-level、IB、Cambridge Pre-U考試成績。IB成績與Pre-U轉(zhuǎn)化成了A-level同等成績；

? 上榜的學(xué)校都至少提供了25名考生的成績，也有的學(xué)校不會(huì)對(duì)外公開成績，所以也就不會(huì)出現(xiàn)在榜單上；

? 根據(jù)ISC（英國獨(dú)立學(xué)校委員會(huì)）的數(shù)據(jù)，私立學(xué)校拿到三個(gè)A*的學(xué)生占7.4%，拿到一個(gè)A*的學(xué)生占17.7%，47%的學(xué)生拿到一個(gè)A*或A（全國平均水平只有26.4%）；

? 私立學(xué)校拿到A*/A的機(jī)會(huì)遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)超出英國的平均水平；

? 能上榜的學(xué)校都是英國不錯(cuò)的私校，門檻不低，壓力也不小，選擇要慎重
