Facility and event management is a rapidly growing field with numerous professional organizations offering their members trainings and certifications in crowd control, accessibility, risk management, emergency action planning, green design and sustainability, and much more. The 100% online Master of Science in Recreation and Sport Administration with a concentration in Facility and Event Management is designed to prepare recreation and sport professionals with qualifications and skills to do just that.

The program focuses on enhancing students’ knowledge and competencies in areas necessary for a successful career trajectory in venue management, which includes topics such as administration, financial practices, marketing, safety and security. Our faculty are experienced professionals who will guide you through the theoretical aspects of facility and event management while exposing you to real world scenarios and helping to expand your professional network.

The M.S. in Recreation Sport Administration with a concentration in Facility and Event Management requires a total of 33 credit hours. This program is 100% online.

Applicants must have completed a U.S. baccalaureate degree or higher, or equivalent international degree, from an accredited institution, Baccalaureate degree cumulative GPA (Grade Point Average) of 2.75 or greater on a 4.0 scale. English Language Requirements: Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) minimum score of 79 (internet-based) or 550 (paper-based); International English Language Testing System (IELTS) minimum score of 6.5; successful completion of the English Language Services Program at Level 112; or successful completion of English as a Second Language International (ESLI) at WKU.
