This a one year top-up course which has been designed for those who have completed at least two years of University or Higher Education study in a related subject. This course aims to equip you with the knowledge and skills required for information systems to help organisations: * Specify * Design * Implement * Operate You’ll be supported in working with sophisticated software tools to develop information systems for businesses. As well as your technical competence, this course will help you to develop your creativity and imagination. Our aim is to help you gain the knowledge and skills to follow a career in computer-based information systems. We maintain links with local employers and you will have the support of our University careers service. You will be encouraged to be an independent learner and develop the transferable higher level skills which are in demand from employers. You might like to hear what Sam has to say about studying Information Technology BSc(Hons) at the University of Huddersfield. This one year of study is designed to allow students to specialise in areas that suit their strengths and interests, from applied practical subjects such as web development, though to theoretical and business orientated ones such as social media marketing. A Levels in Chemistry and at least one further science subject from Biology, Maths or Physics. Chemistry A Level is essential. If you are not studying Biology, then Maths or Physics are accepted. The endorsement for practical work is an essential part of Science A Level study, and is a requirement for entry to our degree course.Offers are based on 3 A Level subjects in the region of ABB and are influenced by subjects being studied, predicted grades and performance at a selection day.
