Art History is for you if you are interested in any or all of the different aspects of visual culture: painting, sculpture, architecture, the decorative arts and modern visual art forms including photography, film, video and performance. At UCD, Art History is a stimulating and richly rewarding subject that explores the aesthetic and stylistic, the historical and critical elements of visual art.

Students must have Award of Regional Ministry of Education/Municipal Education Commission (or equivalent) approved Senior Secondary School Graduation Certificate and GaoKao result. In some circumstances the Huikao may be acceptable. Students must have Cambridge A Level: At least three subjects at A Level Grade C and three other subjects at GCSE Level Grade C. UCD requires Baccalauréat de l'Enseignement Secondaire + 1 year at a recognised university (Dipl?me de … (plus professional field); Dipl?me d'Etudes Supérieures; Dipl?me d'Ingénieur/d'Architecte d'Etat or Licence). English language requirements: IELTS - An average score of 6.5 over all components and a minimum of 6.0 in each band on the Academic Version; A minimum score of 600 in the paper-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL PBT), with Test of Written English at 475 +, a minimum score of 90 is required in the Internet based TOEFL (IBT); Pearson English Language Text: Minimum of 63 and at least 59 for each item in the Communicative Skills section.
