This is an exciting foundation degree which will enable you to gain an excellent insight into the Tourism and Aviation industry.It will help to prepare you for working in these demanding sectors by giving you all the necessary skills and abilities to make a success of your career in the Tourism and Aviation industry.There will be a strong emphasis on Customer Service throughout the course and you will gain an understanding of the importance of this aspect to the industry as a whole.There is an emphasis on the development of skills; general skills such as communication, IT and teamwork, and practical skills such as providing excellent service and complaint handling.Work related learning forms an essential part of the course allowing on the job training and development of further skills to make students more employable. There may be the opportunity to carry out a work placement either in the UK or overseas.Assessments are designed to give students the opportunity of performing tasks that they would be asked to do in employment, such as dealing with a passenger in distress at the airport using scenarios and links with employers to help make them more realistic.
