Recognizing that we’re working in a dynamic technology landscape, we have created the Bachelor of Software Engineering: Artificial Intelligence (AI) in partnership with IBM, building a powerhouse of skills, future thinking and market insights. The course addresses the industry demand for developers, with subjects that encompass machine learning, computer vision, speech recognition, and more. You’ll graduate with the technical acumen and core soft skills you need for a career at the cutting edge of AI.
We’ve designed this course to address the needs of a rapidly evolving field and equip you with the expertise to take your place at the heart of it. Founded on extensive industry consultations, we’ll offer you a range of technical subjects with a focus on the major areas of AI – from Natural Language Processing to Robotics. Harnessing your own creative talents and expertise, and led by industry professionals, you’ll identify and solve complex artificial intelligence software engineering problems. You’ll develop skills that are increasingly the mainstay of software engineering. Also, while the course is founded on strong traditional and cutting-edge software engineering know-how, such as programming, math’s and statistical knowledge, you’ll also investigate ethics, social responsibility and cognitive psychology throughout your studies. You’ll graduate with the in-demand skills of ideation, design thinking, project and time management, and interpersonal communication. Working in teams, you’ll develop collaboration, negotiation and research skills that you’ll take with you to the professional environment, where teamwork and leadership are core to this industry. On graduation, you’ll be ready to lead teams yourself and manage exciting creative AI projects. And you’ll be on your way to working at the forefront of AI, anywhere in the world.

Awareness of the software engineering body of knowledge with a view towards ethics of practice in a global and sustainable context
Communicate proficiently in the context of software engineering across a variety of audiences utilizing appropriate tools and interfaces.
