A Saxion Industrial Engineer is a business administrator who is specialised in finding sustainable solutions for quality- and productivity related problems in the production industry. These problems will be researched with a design based methodology, in multidisciplinary teams, after which solutions and interventions will be implemented.

During your studies

Because of the increasing speed of technological developments (technology push) and increasingly demanding customers (demand pull), productivity problems are becoming increasingly complex and have to be solved within a shorter timeframe. This is why it is important to identify and assess technological developments at an early stage. These developments are increasingly taking place abroad, with Germany as the front runner.

The Short Degree Programme Industrial Engineering & Management consists of seven taught modules and one graduation project.

Because of their skills in spotting technological innovations and trends, Industrial Engineers are often found in international business both within the Netherlands as well as abroad.
