Through the Bachelor of Business (Management) you will learn how to deal with complex issues, lead teams and make business decisions applicable across a variety of organisational structures. RMIT’s management degree will challenge you to consider the local impact of global changes to markets and business practices.

Courses are designed to cultivate the abilities and skills vital to the longevity of an organisation including:

strategic thinking
ethical and socially responsible decision-making
managing innovation
effectively managing people through change
managing in cross-cultural environments.

Electives and program structure

The degree consists of 24 subjects (each 12 credit points) and includes:

8 compulsory common business core subjects
8 business discipline major subjects
8 flexible subjects.

The 8 flexible subjects can be selected from three options:

a second business discipline major (8 courses)
a compulsory business discipline minor (4 courses) plus second minor (any discipline)
a compulsory business discipline minor (4 courses) plus 4 electives.

A second business major can be selected from:

accounting
economics
entrepreneurship
finance
financial planning
information systems
international business
logistics and supply chain management
marketing.

Career

The management degree is informed by research and industry input to integrate contemporary approaches to leadership, strategic management, sustainability and diversity to ensure graduates are armed with high-demand skills that are readily transferable.

Graduates will be employed in a range of professional, commercial, industrial and not-for-profit organisations. With appropriate experience, they can expect to advance to management positions.
