The dynamic field of public health is growing rapidly, and the need for professionals to address health-related issues that affect communities both on a local and global scale is increasing.

Taught by experts in the field, our Public Health program will prepare you for an exciting career protecting the safety and improving the health of communities through education, policy making and research for disease and injury prevention.

In this program you will:

Develop skills to practice in multiple public health related fields
Learn about the core concepts of public health including health behavior, research and statistics in health
Hone skills in the planning, implementation and evaluation of community and public health services

At Rivier we focus on professional, hands-on experiences to expand your knowledge beyond the theoretical foundations and prepare you for a successful career or graduate studies.

The program requires you to complete at least one internship and provides plenty of opportunities to apply classroom learning to real-world challenges, building practical skills as well as an impressive resume.

Rivier’s B.S. in Public Health will prepare you for exciting careers across multiple public health-related areas including pharmaceutical and medical supply companies, professional and advocacy organizations, governmental organizations, non-profit charity and service organizations, research organizations and voluntary health agencies both in the United States and globally.

Applicants must have official academic records (transcripts or mark-sheets) of their high school transcripts/diploma and for each year of postsecondary education (college or university), as well as official copies of degrees awarded. Required Scores for TOEFL: A score of 79 on the Internet Based Test (IBT), 550 points on the Paper Based Test (PBT) or 213 or higher on the Computer Based Test (CBT) is required for unrestricted acceptance; Required Scores for IELTS: Applicants must present scores of at least 5.5 for general acceptance and 6.0 for nursing acceptance on the IELTS; and PTE (43). Some applicants may require higher test scores depending on educational background and program of entry.
