This is a Middlesex University programme and qualification, designed, assessed and quality assured by Middlesex but delivered at and by a partner.

The BSc (Hons) Business Accounting programme is designed to provide you with the appreciation of, and insight into, the role of accounting in the context of business governance, project management and accounting information systems. Throughout your studies you will build your knowledge and understanding of the conceptual and practical aspects of accounting, providing a foundation for further study or professional development depending on your chosen career path.

Teaching and assessment

All learning and teaching take place in seminar sized groups and within these sessions, you will be presented with a wide variety of learning opportunities including formal lectures, seminars, guest speakers, online videos – prequels and sequels, fortnightly roundups. Fortnightly Roundups are one hour online live chat sessions with your module tutor on MyLearning. These are open to all students on the module.

Careers and further study

There are many career options open to graduates of this programme in the field of accounting and finance within the business, for example project management, business analysis, taxation, back-office finance positions in the City and corporate finance.

The programme currently benefits from some exemptions from various accounting bodies but this is not the focus of the programme.

All students who complete the BSc (Hons) Business Accounting programme can apply to anyone of the accountancy bodies for exemptions. The programme is accredited by the following:
