The BSc (AgEnvSc) is offered on our beautiful Macdonald Campus, located in the picturesque town of Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue, on the western tip of the Island of Montreal. The campus is spread over 1600 acres of land containing research facilities, bike paths, an arboretum with walking and ski trails, working farm, greenhouses and much more. When you are not in class, you can spend time exploring all the west island has to offer. A free intercampus shuttle and good public transit links means the thriving metropolis of Montreal is also just a 40 minute bus or car ride away.

Over the course of three years (U1, U2 and U3), students will complete a 90-credit degree. For students from high schools outside Quebec, a 30-credit freshman year (called U0) will be added at the start of your studies (making this a four-year, 120-credit degree).

Program Requirements

This Specialization is required for students who wish to qualify for membership in the Ordre des agronomes du Québec (OAQ). It cannot be taken alone; it must be taken with the Major Agro-Environmental Sciences and a Second specialization in Animal Production, Ecological Agriculture, Plant Production, or Soil and Water Resources. This Specialization focuses on working in the professional agrology industry and covers agricultural legislation as well as professional conduct.

The credits within this specialization may not count towards the student's Major or other Specialization. All of the 24 credits count only for this Specialization.

Other English Language Requirements accepted: Pearson Test of English (Academic) with the minimum score of 85; Cambridge English (Advanced) with a grade B or better ; or Cambridge English: Certificate of Proficiency in English with a grade C or better; MELAB SCORE OF 85 and Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL) with overall score of 60.
