The Intercultural Studies major aims to be innovative in its design and responsive to today’s rapidly changing world, while remaining faithful to the ideals of the liberal arts tradition, foremost of which is to promote good global citizenship by fostering cultural appreciation, critical thinking skills, ethical leadership and creative problem solving. This major brings together diverse aspects of a humanities/liberal arts education; a broad range of methods, perspectives and challenges are explored in the areas of language, culture and economics.

All students in the Intercultural Studies major are required to take a set of common core courses designed to introduce them to key concepts and practices in the field of Intercultural Studies.

They are then provided with the flexibility to decide on one of the following:

  • Critical Studies of English Language
  • Ethics, Philosophy and Economics
  • Foreign Language and Culture
  • No Concentration

Applicants who submit IGCSE must have IGCSE, GCSE or GCE ‘O’ Level at least 5 subjects and GCE ‘AS’ Level or GCE ‘A’ Level at least 3 subjects, 8 subjects in total, with minimum Grade of C and an official high school transcript of grade 10 .GED submissions must pass 5 subjects with a minimum score of 3600 and an official high school transcript of grade 10; A certified copy of your high school diploma or its equivalent (with English translation). English Language Requirements: TOEFL iBT Overall 79; Writing 25; IELTS Academic Overall 6.0; Writing 6.0.
