Lincoln University’s Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree has a specific focus on value chains. Value chains connect the world, and so do our graduates.

Be it in supply chain management, marketing, food and resource economics, or accounting and finance, our graduates are bringing the world to New Zealand and New Zealand to the world.

When businesses link their strategies and operations with what is happening in the global economy and with their commercial partners, they are well positioned to capture competitive advantages.

The Accounting and Finance major of Lincoln University's BCom focuses on how firms develop and use financial systems and models to enhance value to the firm and to others in the value chain. It provides a pathway into internationally recognised professional bodies including Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) and Certified Practising Accountants (CPA) Australia, and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). This is a career-focused programme that provides students with practical skills, and accounting and finance firms often approach Lincoln University looking for graduates.

Summary of Regulations

All of the following:

Pass at least 360 credits (24 courses)
Pass all compulsory courses
Complete no more than 165 credits (11 courses) at the 100 level
Pass at least 75 credits (5 courses) at the 300 level
Meet the requirements of at least one of the named Bachelor of Commerce majors.

Accreditation: Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ), Certified Practising Accountants (CPA) (Australia), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

Students can start in:
? Semester One (late February) or
? Semester Two (mid July)
There are also options for starting in summer semesters.

University Entrance through NCEA, or an approved equivalent qualification. International qualifications. GCE ‘A’ Levels A minimum of 3 results with at least 1 grade at Level C or above. (General Studies is not to be used as one of the results.). English Language Requirements: IELTS academic score of 6.0 overall, with no individual component less than 5.5; TOEFL (iBT) overall score of 60 (with at least 18 in writing); Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) and First (FCE) overall score of 169, with no individual component less than 162; Pearson Test of English (Academic) overall score of 50 with no communicative skills score less than 42; NZ Certificates in English Language (NZCEL) Level 4 (Academic Endorsement); Lincoln University English Language LU EL 65%.
