Programme Introduction

Today, science is deeply interwoven in our daily lives and Biomedical Science is no exception. The Master of Science in Biomedical Science (Medical Biochemistry) programme is a fundamental threshold to help students recognise the importance of biochemical testing and its role in the diagnosis, prognosis, monitoring and screening of diseases.

This programme endows students with the exceptional calibre to critically analyse new developments and advances within a range of selected topics in the field of medical biochemistry. Furthermore, this set of analytical skills gives students the capacity to review and evaluate the objectives and limitations of a range of contemporary diagnostic systems employed within medical biochemistry to ensure that all clinical research and practices are based on sound evidences.

Upon successful completion, qualified students will be awarded the Master of Science in Biomedical Science (Medical Biochemistry) by Cardiff Metropolitan University.
