Introduction

This programme provides deeper knowledge on Occupational Safety and Health in an effort to protect workers from hazards at the workplace. You will explore a variety of subjects related to this field such as safety and health regulations, construction safety, industrial hygiene, OSH risk management, and emergency response plan and accident investigation among others. The programme will provide you with a range of theoretical and practical skills to enable you to practice across a range of industries and environments.

The curriculum is based on sound foundations as stated in the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 (Act 514) with a syllabus that focuses on specific aspects of occupational health and safety management. With this degree in hand, employment in the OSH field becomes more promising due to the shortage of OSH experts especially in the manufacturing, construction, oil and gas industries.
